Just getting back to cycling after quite a few years.... Decades !
I used to ride with a local town cycling club back in the eighties on my old faithful raleigh europa, did a few time trials and had a bit of success until I found the wonders of women, motorbikes and generally forgot about the simple pleasure of cruising the countryside under my own steam.
I've recently aquired an old steel frame and have botched up something rideable to see how I get on. First ride last weekend was a steady 22 miler which I really enjoyed, apart from the sore backside and aching thighs he next day
But hoping to get back into it and have been enjoying reading this forum , its a great resource.
Hello Mike and welcome to Bike Forums! It's going to take a few more rides but you will see that it will get easier as your body adjusts to muscles you are using more than usual.
Check out our regional section and see if there are rides going on that you can join!
