Buying Help
Hey all,
So I know I want a road bike, and after not much luck on craigslist or local used shops I've decided to go with bikes direct.

Specifically since I think I want the handlebars to be higher vs the seat height, the gravity series was recommended.
So on there are listed the gravity avenues A B and C. I was wondering if there is much of a difference between them? Is it worth the extra money (100$) to get the C?

Welcome. They're all basically the same bike. The big difference is the shifters. A has stem shifters. B has downtube shifters. C has integrated shifters and brake levers, much like what you'll find on more expensive bikes. Go for the C model.
I don't care for the handlebars being that high. Looks scary to me. Why do you want the bars so high?

Hey, thanks for the advice. So I should probably ask, is there something considerably better for the same price on bikes direct as that C model I should be getting instead?

I would suggest that you go and test ride bikes in your area. That way you can get a better feel for the bike itself - the geometry of it, the fit, and of the frame material. Different bikes feel different and it's almost like buying shoes. You want something that's going to FIT you right and feel comfortable. AND get the job that you want done, completed.
