Hi all, name's Brett and I'm from Sanford, NC. After getting up to almost 370 LBS, I decided I wanted to get in better shape, I'm down to 355 right now. I've been riding my mountain bike this summer, averaging 2-3 days a week at about 10 miles a ride, my longest ride being 27 miles. That was when I could ride. I ran in a Rugged Maniac Mud run in April and hurt my leg pretty bad, and then again in July if ran in a Spartan Race. I hurt myself again, this time my rotator cuff. Both times I was out for more than a month. After riding with Wounded Warrior Project in a Soldier Ride, I decided I wanted a road bike. I picked up a Trek Madone 2.1 yesterday, and I didn't waste any time. I went out with a friend and rode 32 miles today. That was a bit much for me, I hit a wall about 25 miles into it. My short term goal is to ride 50-75 miles a week and log 500+ miles before the end of the year. Here's a picture of my bike.
