Hello from Seattle brand new at this

I'm 44 have not had a bicycle since age 12. I have been riding sportbikes for the last 10 years and well kind of bored with it and taking a break from it in a way. So today picked up a 2013 Specialized Crosstail, the lowest model. Got a great price 350.00 plus tax. Its so agile feeling, prior to this I had bought a Specialized Sirrus Sport without a test ride and oh man you can feel every thing on the road, its way too harsh of a bike.
So took it back and the crosstrial was 150.00 cheaper and much nicer of a ride.
TEST ride these thing, I thought they all rode the same but boy was I wrong.
The only thing I have done is put on a very nice gel seat cause the stock seat was torture.

Now time to save up for some gear, cant afford strict bike gear so going to improvise and see what I can come out with at places like Big 5 and Sports Authority instead.

Welcome to BF, and… WOW-- a >30 year cycling hiatus and back in the saddle (no pun intended)! Welcome back to cycling and enjoy the new bike.

Welcome to the forums
All you really need is a set of mtb baggy shorts and you're good to go given the type of bike. And they can be had for a decent price. Make sure to check out the hybrids forum.

Welcome to Bike Forums, I have really enjoyed this place.

The bike looks awesome, time to get sweaty.
