Route Advice - El Paso to San Antonio

Has anyone cycled from the border in El Paso to San Antonio? If so, which route is best? I-10, or 180E/62E?? Considering road conditions, amount of places to eat and rest along the way, bike shops.... We will then be going through San Antonio, then Houston and into Louisiana and would love advice for that as well!

Welcome to Bike Forums. Sounds like an ambitious goal.
The folks in the Texas Regional subforum may be able to help you.
