new Alexandria VA commuter

Hello,
I'm a new commuter. Tomorrow will actually be my first commute (what if it snows, again?) I did a dry run this weekend, and I think I'll make it. Sometimes when I'm stuck in my car in traffic I see people whizzing by on bicycles on the bike path, and I think "I can do that!" So here goes...

Being a commuter (car) in Northern VA as well, I wish you good luck! My two options for driving to work aren't two bike friendly or I would definitely consider commuting on my bike. Can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can get back in the saddle! Good Luck tomorrow and enjoy your ride!

Congratulations. If you pass through Old Town, watch other cyclists. There are quite a few options in terms of ways of getting through, so experiment and see what works best for you. Also the trail gets crowded on nice Spring Days, so be careful.
