Being a commuter (car) in Northern VA as well, I wish you good luck! My two options for driving to work aren't two bike friendly or I would definitely consider commuting on my bike. Can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can get back in the saddle! Good Luck tomorrow and enjoy your ride!

Congratulations. If you pass through Old Town, watch other cyclists. There are quite a few options in terms of ways of getting through, so experiment and see what works best for you. Also the trail gets crowded on nice Spring Days, so be careful.
