A little about me: I am 48 and live in the Southern California area. I have been cycling for about 8-years now and love it.
My 1st hybrid bike was a 2006 Trek FX, from there I moved onto a Trek 2008 FX and in 2010 I bought a 2011 Giant Rapid 1..
I have been searching for a new bike and had a few must haves and a few wants.. I wanted the ultimate in flat bar road type bikes.
My LBS owner located and hooked me up with a 2013 Specialized Sirrus Limited SL4.. I scored if for a very decent price considering what the MSRP was just a few months ago.
I picked it up yesterday and am thrilled with it! Mine is SN# 54 of 300
I also updated my Garmin GPS.. I had been using a Garmin Edge 200 on my Giant but grabbed a Garmin Edge 510 to put on the new bike.
I am not a speed demon not do I peddle insane amounts of distance. I retired early so I generally ride 5 days a week and do between 25-35 miles a day. If I average 14MPH at the end of the ride I am happy.. See? No speed demon and no mega distances for me.
I've tried traditional road bikes but have a bad back and for me at least, I get a much more comfortable ride from the flat bars..
I enjoy cycling not only for the fitness aspect but because it gets me out and about for a few hours a day. Most of my rides (95%) are done in the city and on city streets utilizing the bike lanes..
That's me in a nutshell....
I've lurked for a while here but decided to join after scoring what i believe is the Ferrari of flat bar road bikes..
