New biker from Miami

Hello, just wanted to say hello. I'm getting in to bike riding for some fun, nothing serious and get some exercises in the process .
Does anyone carry a piece when riding ? Just wondering since things are crazy nowadays.:thumb:

Welcome to Bike Forums from west central Florida.

Not me. Its very safe where I ride. Deputies from the sheriff's department, park rangers, and trail volunteers patrol the trail every day. I saw two different deputies and a park ranger on my last ride. :thumb:

Now the important stuff. What bike do you ride? Got pics?

Nothing fancy yet. A schwinn le tour III and a swchinn sidewinder. Just getting back. Looking to get a trek or cannondale road bike in the future.
is hard getting back after 20 years

It is hard starting, but you will get into the swing of things. And odds are you will get more comfortable and feel less of a need for self defense. Welcome to BF!

Welcome to BF! Nobody I know in upstate NY yet packs while cycling. Territorial dogs continue to be a leading threat in my area and I carry my Kryptonite lock for them.

Never have, never will. When things get that bad I'll just give it up, stay home and find an indoor sport. Stay safe OP. :thumb:

welcome to the forum. Yes I carry all the time. On my bicycle I use a crossbreed belly band holster.
It works well, is comfortable and conceals just fine. Just don't wear a race fit jersey.
