Howdy from San Antonio Texas
Hello, Im a 24yo college student in San Antonio Texas. I've been cycling for awhile, mainly some recreational MTB trails, but recently cycling main source of transportation. I'm looking to buy a road bike right now, something cheap that I can maintain within my small budget, as well as some mechanical advice, and just general cycling advice. If you know good spots around San Antonio or have advice on purchasing road bikes I'd be extremely grateful.

Welcome aboard
While you're looking around for a road bike, swap out the knobbies on your mtb for some slick(er) tires to help improve your on street performance- assuming that you haven't already done this already.

I lived in San Antonio in the 80s and loved it. Don't know anything about the bike scene now, but there are quite a few cyclists on the road forum who hail from that region.
