newbie member from Wokingham

afternoon all

signed up here to hopefully get a bit of info on british made stuff

I have a few BMX bikes (couple from the 80s and a modern one for jumping about on) and will be starting a new project in a few months - this time it's a cruiser F&F (24") that is going to be built by Mr Brian Curtis to the exact design of the original 80s version
Not done a British build before, but very excited to see just how much of it can be done without resorting to US or Japanese-made parts. I might get a couple of things fabricated too

There are a lot of things that can be regarded as crossover parts from road bikes, (especially hubs) so will be keeping my eye out for things like Brooks saddles, Lambert hubs/brake calipers. Any pointers/handy links would be greatly appreciated - right now I'm just in the homework stage so have an open mind about what to put on it

Only danger is that I end up seeing too many other bikes while I'm in here

Welcome to Bikeforums!
When I ride my bike I feel free and happy and strong. I'm liberated from the usual nonsense of day to day life. Solid, dependable, silent, my bike is my horse, my fighter jet, my island, my friend. Together we will conquer that hill and thereafter the world.

Cheers and welcome!

To err is human. To moo is bovine.

Who is this General Failure anyway, and why is he reading my drive?
