Hi from Dunfermline, Scotland.

Hi Everyone,
My name is Thomas (Tam) Fraser. I live in Fife, Scotland but work in the south of England. I've been cycling for 3 years now and the furthest distance I've cycled to date is 70 miles. I currently own a Felt F5. I've just recently signed up to do a 350 mile ride in 24 hours in support of the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund. So I look forward to being able to pick your collective brains for advice on training and nutrition in the run up to and during my event in Aug 2014

Welcome to BF and good luck on your quest to do an epic 350 miles in 24 hours! You’ve got a world of training ahead of you to get ready for that event. That’s an average speed of 14.6mph for 24 hours and that’s a level of performance not too many people can aspire to. Spend some time in the Training and Nutrition forum, start a vigorous training program right away and you might (?) have a shot, although the best this will get is that it’ll be a meat grinder every step of the way. Good luck with it.
