Did I join a cult? Saint Petersburg FL
Hello from balmy Saint Petersburg Florida.
After becoming Sober, single and unemployed 6 months ago I am now employed and looking for a hobby. I decided, after hearing someone wax on about cycling, that maybe it could be for me. So I kept my eye out and did a bit of research on the bikes that popped up on CL. I even visited a bike Co Op.
I bought my first road bike today. I heard that Miyata's are nice bikes(The owners will tell you) so I picked up a 914 on CL for $175. I am not certain what year it is or where the serial number is or how to adjust it properly so any advice is appreciated.
I hope to learn a lot!

That's a great looking bike. Paint looks perfect. Ride the heck out it.

I made a few adjustments to it and took it around the block, around the block turned into 11 miles and an aha moment when I realized that I have been using drop handlebars wrong my entire life.
