new old guy from Sudbury, Ontario

Just purchased a 2014 Specialized Crosstrail. I have been away from biking since 1991, but after borrowing a bike in Florida the desire to ride a bike is back. Living in a bike unfriendly town has it's drawbacks. This place thinks of automotive traffic only. I am 65 years old, newly retired and looking forward to the riding season. I have to wait, it snowed a couple of inches here today. I have been passing the time looking at the pictures of hybrids thread. I am here to learn, and see what others have done to their bikes.

Welcome Tom. I've been enjoying biking and retirement for a while and have found most of North America unfriendly for bicycles. The best we can do is get out there and claim the streets once in awhile. Rails trails are growing in number around my part of Ontario and provide some great riding.

Hi Tom,
Welcome to the forum. I started back riding about 4 years ago at 66 after not being on a bicycle since I was a kid. I love it. I collect, rebuild, and ride vintage bikes mostly 10 speed road bikes and 3 speeds. I cycle here on the Bruce Peninsula.
