A first hello from Denver
Hey out there,
I am living in Denver, and I primarlily use my bike for transportation and recreation in case curiousity was getting a hold of you. My bike is as ancient as the model T--well just about. I still have fun on the old gal but need a serious upgrade soon. Before then I do, however, want some advice from any Colorado bikers out there. I am looking to ride from Denver down to Colorado Springs and out into the mountains for the last weekend in March. The two things that will help me are routes that you know about or any web-sites you can refer me to that would provide Colorado Bike paths and trails.
Love ya,
Dave

There is a gravel trail from Greenland through Palmer Lake, the Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs and Fountain. The New Santa Fe Trail.
There is a dirt road connecting a paved road from Larkspur (which goes to Monument) to the Greenland Trailhead.
There are a variety of ways to get to Larkspur.
There are a whole bunch of Denver Metro Area riders here, we have our own "thread".

If you are planning on going to the Santa Fe Century, check this out:
