Howdy from Boulder, CO

I have been commuting by bike for about two and a half years, 10 miles each way. It has made a real positive difference in my life in all kinds of ways!

I am in the "nothin' fancy" school when it comes to gear. I commute on a bottom-of-the-midrange Specialized hybrid from University Cycles in Boulder. I switched from backpack to panniers a few months ago and am happy with that.

Need to motivate more in bad weather, and will need recommendations on gear and strategies when the time comes.

Looking forward to taking part, thanks for having me.

Welcome to BF! Congrats on that “take the weight off your back and put it on the bike” realization, too -- that concept makes cycling a whole lot more pleasant!
