Hello from New Brunswick, Canada.
Hi everyone, I am truly happy to have found this forum. Lots of good information here and I am hoping to benefit from the members' experience and expertise. I've ridden bicycles most of my life(just turned 66) and have always had a passion for bikes from the entry level to the most expensive ones(that I can't afford, lol). I also enjoy working on bikes(as a hobby) as much as riding them and (in my case) there is always something new to learn every day. I currently own(after having sold a couple): SS Burner(cheap but reliable mountain), Giant Defy(entry-level road), and a Giant Yukon FX(entry-level mountain). I am currently considering one of the following: Specialized Sirrus Elite, Giant Escape 2, or a Trek 7.2 FX; all entry-level Performance Hybrid bikes that I happen to like. Looking forward to some pleasant interchanges with the forum members, Cheers.

Hey Sterling5H.
Welcome to Bike Forums from Texas.
Go for The Specialized Allez Elite.
I bought 2 Specialized used bikes last year and they are great rides.
This one was an 2005 with only 25 miles on it.

Hello from sunny and warm North Central Florida..... however for 62 years just next store.... Maine. What kind of riding are you planing? There are plenty of good rides in NB. My wife and I go to Fredericton each year on our way to PEI. The trails at Fredericton are slowing being paved but the rest of the trail and the Confederation Trail on PEI are old RR ballast. Look for something with at least 32 mm tires. Good luck and maybe we'll see you on the trail in a couple of months.

Thanks to all, 10 wheels, that is a very nice bike and I also like that Boxter in the background.
DowneasTTer, In the past I mostly rode the off-road trails and wood paths but during the past 5-6 yrs I ride mostly paved roads with my road bike with drop-downs. I somewhat envy your sunny Florida weather because summer in the Maritimes is off to a very slow start (rain, fog, and cool temperatures for past 2 weeks). I am travelling to PEI for the Canada Day weekend(but not on the bike, lol)

Welcome to BF! Down to 3 bikes, huh? YIKES! So am I and I’m starting to feel insecure. I think I may have to make a security-enhancing move when my income tax refund gets here...

Thanks Lacumo, I think I once heard a "Bike Physician" say that we should never neglect those insecurity symptoms and always make those security-enhancing moves, I have those symptoms at least once a year and each time I enter a LBS, ha ha. I say "go for it". Nice(in your case) to be getting some $$$$ back from the Revenue Agency, here they always manage to squeeze some more out of me in addition to what I already paid during the year.

Thanks MielleCondor72, I guess you and I are almost at the extremities of our country, Pacific/Atlantic. I have never been to BC, the closest I've been was in the Calgary and Lake Louise area and I did get to see those beautiful Rockies. I order a lot of bike parts and accessories from your province on-line from Mountain Equipment Co-op (mec.com) when they are not available locally. Take care.
