Hello from British Columbia!

New member here, I've been lurking a bit and this looks like a terrific forum with loads of good information and discussion!

I'm not what you'd call a "hard-core" cyclist, but I do primarily commute by bike (I ride a 2010 Kona Jake the Snake) and more and more I'm choosing to ride over driving.

I am looking at adding a new bike that is a bit more tour-friendly as I'm likely doing some touring with my wife later this summer and my Jake really isn't appropriate for loading up in that manner. I've been looking at classic tourers like the Surly LHT and Trek 520, but I admit after riding a number of bikes I'm more leaning towards a something a bit more general purpose like the Salsa Vaya or Specialized Awol. I simply fell in love with the way those two bikes felt when I was test riding.

Anyway, just thought I would drop by and say "hello", it's good to be here!
