Hello from Arizona - it's a dry 110-degree heat
It's hitting 110 today, so riding is limited to very early or very short distances with a Camel Back. Are there many people in the area that climb and descend South Mountain? This is a 2300 foot mountain you climb over a distance of about 4-miles, so it's intense in spots. There's both single-track dirt trails and a two-lane car road the road bikers and skate boarders use. It's good high-speed descent training with hard braking in the winding sections, and line selection becomes important. I have to say the disc brakes really help with this descent. You must be more tentative and plan ahead with regular caliper brakes, so I'm looking to add a high-end Hybrid with discs to the fold. The Giant STP 1 disc brakes have spoiled me
