Bikes: A Costco Bike with dual suspension and a comfie jell seat. Must weigh close to 100 lbs. But it's fun.

Hi everyone. I do a bit of biking but am going to take time this year to maybe do some longer distance biking like say a 1350 km ride from Winnipeg to KC MO. I'm up to 80 km in a day with an 8 km headwind.
I've always enjoyed hiking, biking and inline skating: this is the year of the bike for me. I'm taking a sabatical from any business or work. Just doing what I want. I can speak and read a bit of Dutch and am at present regaining my Dutch Citizenship with a view to actually living in The Nederlands for a couple of years. I'm also learning a bit of Spanish at the moment.
Would like to hear from anyone esp someone from Nederland.

It sounds like you have quite a diverse background! All that riding will definitely come in handy in the Netherlands. I was impressed with their love of the bike when I visited last year. Good luck on your adventures!
