Hi. Just stumbled across this sight and thought I would stay a while. In fact I came here to get some input on an upcomming mountian bike purchase. I want to get bikes for myself and wife for our 10 year anniversary (sp). I'll post this in the mountian bike section bt may as well ask here too.
I am leaning towards the Giant Yukon or the Trek 4500. Does anyone have any input or opinions on these two. The vast majority of the riding will be casual with the kids. I will use it some for fitnes and running with a couple friends but nothing real hard.
Thanks
Darrell

Welcome. My wife rides a Trek 4500 and it is an excellent bike. I am sure you would find that the Trek 4500 would probably work just fine for the type of riding you mention.
