Bike Forums - Aspiring IM

Just this year I have gotten into training for a triathlon, and am doing my first which will be a sprint distance tri in the city of Chi in late Aug. Never been much of a swimmer except in 24' round pool. I was a big time biker but the motor did most of the work. I have done 5 running races with a marathon being the longest. So here I am "Mr. Clueless". I bought a used 06 Serotta Fierte. Thats my first ever road bike. It has Ultegra components and seems to be in great condition. (Not that I know the difference) Anyway thank you for all the insight that is abundent from experienced cyclists on this site. I look forward to sharing stories and opinions.
