Hi there, I'm new

Hello, I'm new to Bike Forums. I'm a ski nerd and former ski mechanic who is slowly falling in love with the summertime downhill rush of cycling. This forum seems to be a great resource. Thanks!

I see that I'm supposed to say something about my bike, too. I have a Bianchi Volpe kitted out for touring. My second favorite part is the Supernova headlight and tail light. My favorite part is riding fast and stable downhill with a load on both the back and front racks!

Also, I'm a longtime member over at the Teton Gravity Research (ski) forums. I post there under the same handle.

Cheers and welcome to Bike Forums! More of a XC skier myself, the traditional parallel style at that. Yeah, I'm old.

Plenty of young folks still XC ski! It has an elegant, lightweight simplicity. It's the single-speed bike of wintersports!
