Hello all from Richmond, VA

I am new to the group and looking for a little insight and advice. I just got back into riding a few weeks ago with the purchase of a new 2015 Cannondale CX 4 "Fatty". I already logged more than 200 miles and enjoy the ride but am a little disappointed with Acera performance and consistency . I am thinking of upgrading the stock 8 speed Acera components. I am considering even going to a 3x10 speed setup to give me an improved riding experience.

I've been told by my LBS that a Deore 10 speed group replacement should be adequate given anything higher would cost more than I paid for the bike. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to BF! +1 on keeping the bike the way it is. If you want a better bike, buy one and you’ll be better off for having done so.
