Hello from the Big Bend of Florida

Newbie here. Started riding a bike when I retired in November 2012. Bought a Walmart Schwinn and began riding with my neighbor. Though I was doing something until neighbor showed up with a Trek Navigator in May. Rode it and was shocked at the difference in bicycles. Bought myself a Craigslist Navigator two days later. Rode the Navigator until September loving it but got the urge to try a road bike. Very timidly bought a Trek 1.2 (intimidated and afraid my old body couldn't handle that riding position) and fell completely in love with road cycling. Got the Domane in January of this year and have put just over 3500 miles on it to date. Now at a point I want to learn more about maintenance/mechanics. Looking forward to you guys sharing some of the knowledge and advise a rookie.

Welcome to Bike Forums from west central Florida. Stop by the Southeast Regional subforum and say hello to the locals. Lots of FL folks on here.

You'll have to join us next month for the Rails to Trails ride.

RonH looking at that one. Would love to ride the trail again to see if I can cut some time from the last ride especially the 8 mile loop.

Sorry can't help with that. We rented a place (VRBO.com) for 2 months in 2012 before deciding to move here.
I guess anything you can find online in Inverness should be ok.

Thanks RonH will look around. Stayed in Yankeetown last trip for the Clean Air Ride that might work out again.
