Amateur "newbie" mechanic in Maryland
Hi all,
I have ridden my Criterium Rex II off and on since I bought it new in 1973. Recently, I have made a hobby of buying older bikes and fixing them up. Just finished a Fuji Espree (from a yard sale), built my first wheel for the Criterium, a Wheeler 5100 is waiting for some sizing, and I have a (um) new GT Avalanche MTB. I also had a fully serviced Mongoose Rockadile, but just today, some A**hole stole it - sawed my chain in broad daylight at the local train station.
I am training for my first 150 mile two day MS ride in June. My girlfriend is coming out to ride with me, so we bought her a Peugeot Triathlon on eBay (nice bike except for the seattube - no clamp - it takes a special seatpost).
Well, I guess I have to move on from the Rockadile - I think the Fuji will be the current ride.
