Hello From Minnesota

Hi everyone, My name is Rick and I have read so much on this forum that I decided I had better join in. I have a bicycle addiction according to my wife. We have 11 bicycles in the garage and I just ordered a Framed Minnesota 3.0 fat bike which I hope will be here in a couple weeks. When I told my wife I wanted another bike she said I will have to figure out a way to pay for it without using any family funds. So I started selling a bunch of old stuff on eBay and also started donating blood plasma, they pay you pretty well for that! In less than 2 months I had the cash and now am waiting for the call that my bike is in.
My other bikes are in age order......
1981 Miyata 210 currently under restoration (my first full resto)
1987 Miyata 615GT I love this bike like no other even though it is a bit small
1993 Cannondale M300 bought this on Craigslist for $75 and made it into my bad boy city bike
1994 Cannondale Killer V I built this bike for my 25th birthday It was my dream bike
1995 Cannondale R500 this is my "fast" bike
2010 Cannondale F4 My "new" mountain bike I just love disc brakes!
Soon to add the 2015 Framed Minnesota 3.0 with Bluto fork I just can't wait!!!!
The other bikes are either my wife's or my son's bikes
1995 Cannondale M400 This bike is really too big for her and we use it as a loaner for people who come over and want to ride
2010 Cannondale Comfort She loves this bike as it fits her perfectly and it is amazingly fast she is usually faster than me!
Mid 80's Raleigh Technium 400 I got for free and fixed it up so my son had a bike he could ride to school etc and not worry about it getting stolen
2006 or 2007 Fuji Nevada my son's old bike way too small for him now also a loaner ride
2012? Trek 4500 My son's new mountain bike he loves to race with this one I think it's the disc brakes
I am currently looking very hard for a Miyata 1000 in 60cm and having a heck of a time finding one that isn't too much money! I also am always checking garage sales, Craigslist, eBay and just about everywhere for another cool project! Right now I'm smitten with Japanese Steel bikes, I just learned about Lotus. They look like they could be fun.
So do I need therapy? Maybe I'll just go for a RIDE!!!

Not sure where you are. I grew up in southern Minnesota, back when there was a thriving town every 7 miles or so. The schools and main street are all closed now, of course, as the family farms succumbed and sold to large agri-businesses. But the people who did remain are still nice folks, good folks. And I always like to see "Minnesota" in any thread title. Have fun with your projects! DB
