Greetings from a soon-to-be college biker!

Hello all - this is not my first post, but it's my first formal introduction. My name is Brennan, I'm going to be attending University of Louisville next year as a Mechanical Engineering + Physics dual major, and will be only traveling by bike and unicycle. I've never really owned a proper bike, just crappy $100 and such department store bikes, so I'm currently rebuilding a 1983 Peugeot PB14 to be my trusty steed (see my post in Classic and Vintage for details). Rather, I've been a unicyclist for a few years, and have gone from a crappy no-name to a custom trials unicycle that I take to a lot of trails and the skate park quite. I love riding that thing, but I need a real bike to move around on, and the Peugeot should suit me well.

Outside of cycling, I'm a classically trained alto saxophonist (specializing in neo-classical and baroque), a general engineering nut, and a huge fan of audio.

Have a good day!

-Brennan

Welcome to BF and good luck with rebuilding your Peugeot; I understand the bikes are better than the autos. As far as your double major, probably I couldn't help you since bicycle engineering and physics are settled science. good luck at U of L.

Hi, Brennan! I wish you lots of success in your studies! I have started cycling for almost 2 years now. So not that much. But one of the BEST thing I've done was to buy a great bike. It was expensive at the time, but worth every Euro (yes, I am in Europe). Hmmm, Physics.... sounds like you would watch "The Big Bang Theory", too? I love that show.
