Guess its about time I said hello.
Hello.
I'm called Speedster because I am in fact not speedy. Although I find riding to be quite enjoyable, I am first and foremost a commuter. As a commuter I ride to get from point A to point B. However I do find myself starting out on some days with point B being an unknown until I get there. Unspeedily. The Texas part? Well I live and ride in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metromess.
Having lived and commuted by bicycle in Washington DC and Los Angeles, it was only natural that I would take up cycling upon relocating back to Texas. Roughly a decade after. So I woke up one day in 2014 and obtained a Surly Straggler. A shiney black one. I got the Surly because I like their attitude. I peeled all of their stickers off the bike because I have an attitude too.
I've been reading a bit here and there, mostly in the Clydesdale, Over 50, Touring and of course, Commuting forums. I have found BF to be an informative resource as well as an entertaining diversion. Prolly hang out a bit.
Cheers.
