Celebrates turning 90 with his daily ride on the bike he got for his 14th birthday

This shows the durability of bikes--and the people who ride them. Did anybody ever drive the same car every day for 76 years?

What a great story!

My ex-no.1-FiL is in his 70s and still riding every day. Probably less than a mile a day, but riding nonetheless. He just uses a bike to get around the farm, all buildings of which he rides to being within a quarter mile. Unfortunately, not on the same bike. There's a pre-war cruiser parked in a barn which we'll probably restore for him soon. In the meantime, he's riding a salvaged specialized hardrock which only just recently replaced the Lotus dept store mtn bike he rode into the ground over a couple decades use.

And getting out for that daily ride--good for both the bike and Reggie.

I regret letting a couple of my old bicycles go. I'd like to be able to have the same ones and using them for years.

OP mentioned driving the same car for years, Man drives Rolls-Royce for 78 years then makes museum donation to ensure its preservation

The bikes I had at age fourteen are long gone... stolen. Some of them are considered collectible today. I need to get back in the habit of a daily ride. I do a daily walk, but there is just something about riding a bike.

I would like to know his diet. That’s the key and his drinking water.

Cool story!

My bike from age 14 is hopefully living a good life in Denver. My downstairs neighbor who was living off SSDI (and loved biking) watched my cats for a week, and I convinced her to take my old bike as payment.

And yet, no bottle cage and I'm pretty sure he never ate an energy bar in his entire life. Probably fish&chips and tea... Reg just doesn't seem like the type to be bamboozled by the health food industry.
