Ecological Living Outreach Festival item..
An article about an ecological living outreach festival. Check out the bike powered washing machine in the photo spread.
"Now in its 12th year, the five-day extravaganza takes place with the intention of showing people how they can reduce their impact on the planet at the same time as relaxing and enjoying themselves. "
"Among the most noticeable differences from the usual festival is the emphasis on sustainable transport.
As well as encouraging people to arrive by public transport, walk, cycle or lift-share, bizarre and ingenious transport methods abound, with horse-drawn taxis ferrying people and baggage around, bicycle trailers carrying equipment and teenagers pulling each other around in hand-carts. "
"It's as though humans' ability to think for themselves has been taken away by the government's need to control us - it's the difference between farmed humans and free-range, if you like."
Farmed humans vs. free range humans. Interesting concept, I like it!
Yeah, that was on the news earlier.
They were chatting to one guy who was pedalling away on a 'bicycle' (wheels removed and saddle facing the wrong way) with the chain powering a food processor that was making him a smoothie!
