The car free suntan pattern

Everyone knows about the unmistakeable bicycle glove tan pattern, right? Fingers tanned on the tips and dots on the back of each hand.

I'm wondering if there is maybe a carfree tan pattern where the right elbow is just as tan as the left one. Back when I used cars a lot, my left elbow had a much darker tan than my right one.

Try riding a recumbent all summer; coming you're as dark as an Islander and going you're white as a sheet.

With temps at 21F this morning and a 30mph headwind, my thoughts during the morning commute did not include tan lines

I don't wear gloves in the summer, but I still have pale fingers because they're always curled around the bars, while the rest of my hands and arms are nice and brown.

Same here, until I read this. When I went to work yesterday afternoon, it was a balmy 72 degrees F. I had to work a double shift. When I came out of work at 6:30 AM today, it was 34 degrees and the wind was howling at 40 mph.

We've had snow and howling winds every day, with no relief predicted in the 5 day forecast. I love winter, but I'm even getting a little tired of it. I can't wait to start working on those weird tan lines!

It depends on the ride. I used to commute south to north in the morning, north to south in the evening, so my right side got all the sun.

But I have rosacea. I go nowhere without sunblock on my nose.
