I thought I new a lot about biking and had ridden many thousands of miles in traffic before I origionally took the course and I learned a lot.

Another source for novice riders is the Boy Scout's manual for the Cycling Merit Badge. Good info on fitting bikes, servicing, riding in traffic and many other aspects of both recreational and utility cycling.
