Because it is easier to park my bike downtown than my car. And because I can have more drinks at happy hour if I bike there. And I can cut down on planning my schedule around the infrequent but convenient bus (instead of the more frequent but further a way bus..it is faster to ride a bike). Because most trips I take are less than 3 miles anyway, might as well get some incidental exercise.

For god's sake, to all those busting the "I haven't bought petroleum in a month" guy's chops, really? It seems to me like he was saying he hasn't bought gasoline.
