Preparing For The Bike's Annual "Spring Cleaning"

Living Car Free means (to me at least) take care of the bikes to the best of your ability. Here is an brief video reminder of the "Spring Cleaning" of your older (and newer) bikes.

I am always picking at my bike. It goes on all year long. No need for Spring cleaning here.

I'm terrible, I mostly let the rain wash it off. But in spring I do have to take a stiff brush and some degreaser to the drivetrain. This is a nasty job after the parts have been gathering gunk all winter.

My bike gets extra squeaky if I don't clean it at least once a month, but I really do need to overhaul it this weekend. Good reminder!

No spring cleaning here...Winter is overhaul time for my bikes, so when Spring arrives it is time to RIDE! ('course having several bikes doesn't hurt)
