This method of moving would work very well if you don't have many belongings and you aren't moving too far. Arrange a moving party, provide lots of beer after the move and enjoy the bike ride.

Otherwise, you might try U-Haul.

Driving home from a trip to the Grand Canyon a couple of months ago, I stopped in Cameron, AZ at a quickie mart. I saw a couple of bike tourists and went to say hello. It was a 30-ish couple who told me they were on day 2 of their trip (started in Flagstaff) and were loaded heavy because they had downsized from a 3 bedroom house to what they could fit on their bikes and were moving to Montana. Neato.

The biggest item I saw being moved was a mattress. how did they shlepp the rest of their stuff?

The trailer they used for the mattress would have been big enough for a fridge or a sofa, and what else do you have that's bigger than that?

I found some other links, here, here, and here showing some possibilities.
