So awesome to be fuel/car/exhaust FREE!!!!

I can get across town almost as fast as a car, cut the buses time in half, and can park anywhere....................It is such a feeling of freedom, cyclers feel this!!! And I modified a kiddie hauler for when hauling around lawnmowers, and photographic equipment, and I can.......if need be, haul around an adult, no kidding!

In my area, the car is 2 to 3 times faster in getting around, can haul that many times in cargo weight, I still breath exhaust when I'm stopped at a light with a row of idling motor vehicles, and the mass transit loops around like a meter padding cabbie.

No feeling of freedom felt here, but I do ride for the energized feeling when I arrive at work in the morning, and the relaxed feeling I have for the rest of the workday.

Okay, I gotta tell you folks this.....I'll have these big diesel trucks ridin' on my butt, who then stomps on it to pass me, smoking me out..........then he quickly turns in front of me, cutting me off and turning right...I mean RIGHT in front of me. I mean really, are drivers really ANGRY with cyclists or what? I figure they're incredibly jealous with their polluting ride, or...................They are trying to prove to me............what? Oh well, when fuel hits 10 bucks a gallon, then again, that won't stop 'em, shoot theres more cars on the road now than when gas was $1.50 a gallon, when I gave up on fossil fuelers.

At this point such an action may be disturbing and you might feel slightly irritated. I have been the victum of the same thing only to have someone stop so short as to knock me down. When the paramedics came to check me out I was told the police wouldn't be there because they were too busy at the time and if I wanted to make a report I would have to go to the police station later.

Check and see if your state has an excessive diesel smoke law and if there's a phone number to report an offender. Our state has one, and it wasn't too long after it was implemented that I stopped getting sooted out.
