A bus driver was robbed of his transfers by a knife-wielding man. Criminals used to steal cars, now they want access to public transit.

I shouldn't laugh at crime and I'm sure the driver doesn't see any humor here. Still, it does show that public transit has enough value to at least one person that he is willing to go to prison to secure access.
