CX/cyclocross.
The more commuter friendly variants.
I used to use my Kona JTS, but the gearing was CX, & not much fun spinning on decents.
Since I bought my Opus with disc brakes,a compact crankset, & clearance for wide tires, this bike is made for my needs.
I like having the option tomuse different hand positions with dropbars too.
Now my JTS is my pit bike.

I'm not right right person to respond to this...
I have a bike for every discipline, & they all serve a different purpose for me.

That's what does make you the right person to respond, IMO. You have experience with different types of bikes, so you can make a good comparison.

out of the 7 I own it would be the Fargo.

Most of my day to day commuting and errands are done on a 5spd torker graduate, but that isn't fun in the wind, on long rides or in snow.
