Yeah mobile phone technology is kind of scary. I just bought a cheapo smartphone, but suddenly I'm using it everywhere. I loaded the Kindle app and am now going thru my wife's book list. Great for the bus!!
I recently decided that I wanted a newer (used) smartphone and I just bought a ZTE Flash on ebay for $60. I looked carefully at different phones to find all the device features that I want. It has a 12mp camera on it. It's going to be fun to play with this and load it up with apps to use on the go. I'm exploring the many different GPS mapping apps that are available. I'm trying free ones for now. I may pay for one in the future if it's a good one. I'm particularly interested in the ones that will let me load topo maps to the device and make tracks and waypoints (like the Garmin). |
Obsolete, didn't realize I was replying to a post that was 3 weeks old. Gotta learn to look at dates on these things.

Do you have to log in to use it? I went there, but couldn't get any maps up.

I hope somebody knows of a more modern site, preferably one that works well on mobile devices and with touch screens. |
