What's your most recent bicycle accessory purchase?

I just purchased a pair of Rainmates. They're like rain pants, but they only cover the front of your thighs and shins. The backside is left open to allow air flow to prevent sweating. I purchased through a Dutch website [click on "English"]: LEGS

Shiny new Cygolite 850...ready for the dark days that are coming.

I like to have two good lights ready to go at all times, and one of mine finally died.

Last purchase I made was at the local bike co-op. Bought a used and older Shimano RX 100 RD for my new-to-me Trek 400. When I got home I discovered the pinch bolt was missing so had to jimmy something up from the bolt and nut jar.

You aren't still in Oregon, are you? Last week I was running at Minto Brown park in Salem and saw a guy out on one of the back trails on a Friday. I stopped and grilled him about it a little. I forgot to ask if his name was Rowan. It looked like a nice bike, and unlike my Fargo, would easily fit in the front half of my canoe. Do you think you could pull a canoe with one?

Oh, same day I bought a new reflective harness, for riding in the dark when I don't want a jacket on.

No ... we were only in Oregon for just under 3 days. We're in Tasmania.

So far, I'm finding my Bike Friday to be surprisingly spritely and yet solid. I suppose pulling a canoe would depend on the canoe and trailer, but our Bike Fridays are designed to pull a trailer, so I suppose it might be possible.

I just got a Sefas Thunderbolt taillight for the road bike. I have a bit of PVC tie wrapped to the saddle rails and I like the long light...it fit's sideways great. I got the new clear one. It lights up both ends and top and bottom, along with my butt. I look like a mechanized wooly worm, a popular trout fly that has a red butt.
Disclaimer: It's just an opinion that I have. It works for me. I am not the forum "Police (Of Anything)". Others may disagree. And....YMMV.
Don't use up any brain cells thinking that I care, you don't like anything anyway.

My Folbot double is kind of a cross between a kayak and a canoe - short covered decks at bow and stern but the dimensions (17.5' length and 37" width) are more canoe-like. It's been pulled by my Bike Friday on many occasions. Weighs about 100 lbs. when loaded with the usual accessories (paddles, pfds, lunches, etc.) and sits on an LLBean canoe cart. I tie the bow to the saddle rails of the bike which provides the only 'hitch' that's needed.

My most recent bicycle-related purchase was a Jamis road bike off craigslist to keep at our daughter's place. Have been taking my Bike Friday on trips so far which works fine, but I'd prefer to be able to go there with just a single carry-on bag.

The last thing I bought was a Son Edelux II. That was a while back, but now that I'm pedalling home at night, its value is really coming to the fore.
