    2015 Goals, Plans, Hopes ...

Got any living car free/light goals, plans, hopes, dreams for yourself this year?
Maybe you're thinking of cycling more? or walking more? Maybe a car-free holiday? Maybe you're thinking of getting a folding bicycle or trailer this year? Maybe you're planning to make use of public transportation more often?

New years resolutions don't work for me, fate always comes along and brings something totally different then what I had in mind or what I planned to do... I just take life one day at a time. I do have a general idea of what I want to do this year but there is no guarantee that it will come to pass exactly as I planned.

Start an IRA. That was a goal this past august though. I'm finalizing the paperwork next week.

I don't like New Year's resolutions ... but I do like to have a few goals to work toward. I've gone into a little bit more detail about some of my goals in Training & Nutrition and Road, but generally it's ... exercise more than last year, and especially more regularly. More walking, more cycling, more of other sports.

I don't really do goals; I find they actually get in the way of attaining anything by making it feel like a chore. But I do have intentions, one of which is to ride my mountain bike more and to learn some mountain biking technique. I also hope to replace it with a lighter, higher quality bike this year, something I would not have been able to afford for the past several years.

I want to start journaling again. It's fun, and it helps me to stay with an exercise program, proper diet, etc.

I'm hopeful I'll be able to ride a bike across Ireland this year. If this is not possible, I'll settle for a ride from Seattle to San Francisco, which has been a dream of mine, God knows why. In the meantime, I'm planning on getting in somewhat better physical shape, and maybe, if my work schedule allows it, finally getting involved in organized bicycle culture in my city, which I've pretty much totally ignored up to now.
If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.

No bicycle goals, except hoping that my bike continues to run well and that I can pick up speed on my commute.

But I do want to get back to professional levels of employment as an animator/creative director.

I read that goal with interest because I previously posted to LCF,

As far as my own goals, I posted,

I discovered transit Apps over the weekend and I'm testing them out to see how effective they work. I will start a thread on the results.

Other than that, I'm still trying to lose the same 15 lbs for the past 10 years.

I'd like to lose a bit of weight too, and my Dr's advice was ... exercise at a level where it is difficult to talk for a minimum of 1 hour a day 5 days a week.
