Women - Shorts/Saddle for Long Distrance Rides

Does anyone have recommendation for comfy cushioned shorts and a saddle for long distance rides?

Thank you!!

My favourite shorts are the least expensive ones MEC (Mountain Equipment Coop) sells ... or sold. The last time I bought them was in 2011, and they may have changed since then.

My favourite saddle is the men's Brooks B17. I have them on all my bicycles.

(BTW - I am a woman who has done a lot of long distance cycling)

Thank you very much!

BTW, why do you prefer the men's Brooks B17 over the women's version?

The only real difference between the two is that the women's is shorter. I am trying one of those on my mtn bike to see if I like it.

I'm happy with my Fizik Vesta. Shorts are even more dependent on fit, so I'd start with what you can find and try on locally. (I like minimal padding; like tri-short levels of padding, myself.)

Stoker likes her Specialized Oura with Voler '15 Black Label short. She rates her PI P.R.O shorts a close second.

The ladies I know riding long distances use a variety of saddles- including Brooks, Rivet, Selle Anatomica, Selle Italia, recumbents, etc. Can't help on the shorts.

Lisa doesn't post on BF, so her husband will share for her...

She has a couple Brooks B17 S that she loves, plus she just got a new Terry Butterfly Century. The Terry is on her road bike and the Brooks are on the flat bar road bike and city bike. She plans to get one more Brooks for her fatbike.

Lisa rides 60 to 80 miles frequently on both the Brooks and Terry saddles.

My wife likes Boure Elite shorts. Her single has a Brooks Imperial B17S and the stoker seat on the tandem has a Brooks Flyer S aged (with springs). She did not like a regular B17 or the Selle Anatomica saddles because she doesn't like the longer nose of those saddles.
