Congrats! I did not realize your team would be starting at 11am Friday..... I was looking forward to catching up with GT at the hostel finish.

Eric, sorry I didn't really get to chat with you at all! My whole team was pretty zonked.

Thanks, and congratulations, Seejaye! The Friday start time just worked out best for all members of our team. I got home in time to see my son before he left for London on Saturday afternoon, and Todd was flying somewhere on Sunday; the other guys had constraints as well.

I was surprised how good I felt when I got off the bike, especially since I didn't realize how stupid I'd become. I guess that's in the nature of stupid.

I was in charge of some of our route, but not all. A part that I didn't plan took us through the town of Lakewood. I didn't know this, but Lakewood has a large Orthodox Jewish community. As it happened, and this was really good luck, we passed through there just after dark on Friday. Lots of people out walking, very few cars. As a commuter, I try to avoid the first hours after dark; I don't know why, but I don't like the way people drive at that time of day. This dealt with that problem very neatly!
