Central Florida 1000K (11 October 2014)
All--
The details of the Central Florida 1000K are now out, and you can check them out here.
There are no "easy" 1000Ks, but this ride is aimed squarely at those who are perhaps new to this distance or are thinking about doing PBP for the first time next year, to gain the experience, confidence, and prequalification that will hopefully make your PBP more fun and successful. The terrain is not challenging, the weather is typically good this time of year, and route design brings riders back to the start/finish each night, where it is very easy to self-support -- no drop bags or logistical hassles. To those for whom 1000s and 1200s are old hat, you'll still have a blast. I've made an art out of finding the most obscure hill-jack towns and tree-canopied country lanes.
Hope to see you on the road. /MessagefromtheFloridatourismbureau

nice. I recommend that people do a 1000k or 1200k before PBP. I think that's the biggest lesson I learned from 2011

Registration is open for the Central Florida 1000K. Check it out, here.
Note that we'll also have separate 400/300/300 brevets concurrent with the 3 intended days of the 1000K. For those for whom 1000K may be too long or time-consuming, riding one of these may be an option.
Hope to see you there!

It's ACP. It's been in the title/caption for the event page, ... same as all the other brevets we offer.

*bump*
I've got a baker's dozen registered, with folks coming from all over: Oregon, California, New Hampshire, Ohio, Virginia... If you're casting about for another rando adventure this year, consider giving this a go.
