2007 Cheat Mountain Challenge

All Century and Metric Century riders mark your calendars now for the 2007 Cheat Mountain Challenge! This will be our 3rd year running this event. This year's ride has been moved up to Sunday, August 19th. Last year's event was a big success, but some sketchky weather has convinced us to move it up to the end of the summer. The ride starts and finishes at Snowshoe Mountain Resort in beautiful West Virginia. Check out the these websites for more information on the event! The terrain is beautiful and both distances extremely challenging. The two sites are: and

NOTE: The date on the WVCF website is in the process of being updated. The event for 2007 IS ON AUGUST 19th!

Feel free to email me with any questions.

I am very interested in this herculean ride Please repost as time registration nears. I was on the site looking for nearby campgrounds. Glad to see there are a few. The great thing about WVa is that you can camp anywhere in the Nat. Forest. Charlie
PS Don't know if the knees can handle 10,000 feet of climbing
