Marinoni is he in CANADA OR VERMONT??
hello everyone Hi MACHKA.
Ive been posting all over bike forums about getting into a custom frame. I know Marinoni frames are well liked so I may go that route (thinking of build my own (fillet braze) , but time is always a problem)
anyway he used to be in Pittsford Vermont but it looks like hes in canada now or is he retired and sold the Business to a canadian frame builder?
I was hoping he was still in VT as Im less than 2 hours away, it would be easy to go get fitted.
Im looking for a sport tour frame but with oversize tubes (im 247 LB) and a sloping top tube as well (short legs long torso)
any info will be welcome
many thanks
"John"

Like Machka says, Cycles Marinoni is a Canadian company, always has been and quite likely always will be. The last time I checked, US sales were handled by a gentleman in Vermont named Glenn DeRuchie (sp?), who I believe is based in or near Pittsford. This was true when I bought a road bike from them in 1988, and it was true when I bought my Piuma in 2001. I was very happy dealing with Mr. DeRuchie, and I'm still very happy with both my Marinoni frames.
Since Marinoni is located near Montreal, it might not be too much harder to go to there than to go to Vermont. Either way, I think you'll be happy with the bike you get.

I'm not sure how they deal with international customers, but here in Canada, they prefer to go through a dealer rather than dealing directly with customers. They will deal directly with customers if there is no dealer, but if there is one in your neighborhood, that is probably your best bet.
