this saturday is the 400.
Yup, Oregon Road, I love that portion of the ride! I rode with you for a little on the 300, I was the other guy who also had an OCR2 (red and silver).

I will not be able to make the 400K this weekend, I am in Chicago...
Good luck and Bon Route!

P.S. You make want to start buying tires in bulk!

bummer! you missed a good ride today. the weather was a bit dicey to start, with the storms rolling thru the area early, but after the front moved thru we had sunny skies and warm temps for a change! rode fairly aggressively (for me) and rolled in to the finish just before 11, and all without a single flat!

I came really close to a double century in early May, and am now hoping/planning to actually do one on June 21st as a Summer Solstice ride.

How are your double centuries coming along?

I've got 3 done so far this year. My last 2 I've had problems. May 10 while doing the CCD I pulled 3 spokes out of my rear wheel. I did see Bernie. This weekend I started the Eastern Sierra, but had to pull out because I was having problems with a cold and chest congestion.

attempted a 600k brevet on saturday/sunday, DNF'd at about 510km into the ride on sunday. but it was essentially a triple-century, with 30 minutes of sleep at the 400k mark.

full story on my blog.

My big ride is Saturday (208 miles - CJBC's Longest Day), I worked , with 4 others, on the cue sheets for the club which I found was a lot more work than I thought. I did real well on the sheets except for the 200 mile SAG sheets. Seems an Excel formula missed the correct cell and on each new page resets the total mileage (ARGH! ). At least the distance between turns is correct. It was found after I printed them so the SAGs are stuck with the mistake. All the riders cue sheet and the century SAG cue sheets are correct. Other than my mistake the training went well and we're now chomping at the bit to get going. The weather looks interesting. It should be only mid-80's for a high, that's good, but the final miles may be in a thunderstorm. The wind is expect to be a head wind but it's too early to tell how strong. They're predicting and inch of rain. I've ridden in worse but I think we may need to put on lights just in case. Our team consists of 3 seasoned vets (lightly salted and a little flakey ) and two first riders. I hope that they just relax and enjoy the ride.

So are you ready? It's only 10 days left! I suspect you're ready.
