century rides in chicago

Anyone live in chicago? does anyone have any rides they would recommend in the local area. was thinking of visiting indiana dunes but mabye somebody has any better ideals? I am intrested in dirt trails and wooded areas. Intresting things to explore and look at, any ideals?

A nice long trail is the Des Plaines trail. Its dirt in Cook county and crushed gravel in Lake County. There is even a near-century ride on it this weekend:
