questions buying a used tandem for touring???
my wife and i are going to buy a tandem for long distance touring. (multi week ventures)
finances require we buy a used bike and upgrade as long as our hearts are in the sport
apart from the correct size of bike for the both of us, what kind of tandem should i be looking for in regards to....
aluminum vs steel
wheel size
handle bars
shifters
rear drum break or a generator in the rear hub for lights
front fork with or with out suspension
seat post suspension.
bob trailer or panniers or both
thanks

might want to check in the touring forum, or do a search for tandems.

Yeah, there is a touring forum and a tandems forum... even a used forum (Classic and Vintage).
You're basically in the wrong place entirely.
