Winter Riding

I try to keep it outside as much as possible... but sometimes I do ride inside.
I took apart my Kreitlers and made a 'free motion' frame for long indoor rides...

The rollers slide back and forth on skateboard wheels... and some hold down bungies keep me centered on the track.

Ideas came from someone over in the road forum, as well as a commercially available product. These were tested last spring... but will see some use this winter.

*have no idea if I posted these here before...

Very nice work! I've seen other free-motion conversions, and yours only raises one question:
Do you find that there is enough tension from the bungee cords at the very shallow angle they're attached to the floating frame? All the other conversions I've seen use a straight-pull attachment between the fixed and floating frames.

seems to be enough.
i can bottom it out on the front or back if i really get out of the saddle and sprint... not something i do though.

i need to add some small bearings to keep everything centered, at which point i might be able to switch to a linear pull setup.
